Designed for high-volume, multi-site testing, the Chroma 3200 High-Throughput System-Level Test (SLT) Platform features a modular architecture and customizable test environments that support multiple product generations while reducing the time and cost of upgrades and changeovers.
The 3200 integrates a precision robotic handling system for fast, accurate device transfer and placement. Its thermal-control architecture combines a high-power thermal engine rated up to 12 kW with a dedicated contact module, improving heat dissipation while lowering the cost of changeovers for new products. An enhanced force mechanism delivers up to 650 kgf per site, with independent forces applied simultaneously to the socket and DUT to maintain reliable contact and uniform thermal distribution.
To further improve throughput and test quality, the 3200 incorporates CVOT (Chroma Virtual Operation Tool). Proven results show up to an 8% improvement in retest yield, longer socket life, and an approximately 10% shorter test cycle compared with conventional SLT methods.
The loading and unloading module support both single-lot and mixed dual-lot testing for greater production flexibility. Intelligent maintenance features include automatic socket cleaning and hot-swappable module servicing (On-stream Maintenance), allowing an individual site to be taken offline for service without interrupting production. This supports continuous, efficient operation, improves overall equipment effectiveness(OEE), and reduces operator workload.
