*Example with A270162 Multiple Signal Module

The tester’s multi-modular support reduces production costs, ensures long-term viability, and allows you to select the optimal solution for any given test scenario.
The 27015 features a dual-slot design for simultaneous testing of multiple DUTs. A single unit supports a wide range of signal modules, including MIPI, eDP, and LVDS from the A27016x series. For greater cost efficiency and flexibility, it is also compatible with A04020x series signal modules for MIPI, eDP, and V-by-One interfaces. This provides versatile signal testing coverage for automotive panels of different sizes and applications.

Designed for multifunctional automotive display modules, the 27015 provides a flexible test solution for driver information and infotainment displays with specialized sizes and resolutions. Its dual-slot design supports simultaneous or sequential testing of DUTs with different signal interfaces. Users can select the appropriate signal modules according to their test requirements, and the system can be integrated with factory automation to enhance production efficiency.

The 27015’s built-in 4+4 programmable DC power output channels accommodate the testing requirements of various automotive panels. Each slot supports four programmable DC outputs: VBL, VDD, ELVDD, and ELVSS. VBL and VDD provide maximum output power of 150W (5–55V / 10A max.) and 45W (1–15V / 3A max.) respectively. Through the FPD Master software, users can edit voltage settings with a minimum adjustment resolution of 0.001 V/step. The high-precision, stable DC output can simulate a variety of DUT test conditions, while the additional positive and negative power outputs ELVDD (1.5–12V / 1A max.) and ELVSS (-12 to -1.5V / 1A max.) can be used for interface, bias, and driving applications.
The instrument provides a power source, signal, individual pin activation, and timing editing in increments as small as 1ms. The timings of power, signal, pin output, and shutdown can all be fine-tuned to user requirements.

Chroma 27015 provides OVP (Over Voltage Protection), OCP (Over Current Protection), UVP (Under Voltage Protection), and UCP (Under Current Protection). The user can customize the protection parameters; if the current or voltage of the DUT is detected to exceed the set value during the output process, the protection mechanism will be activated immediately to avoid product damage.
The Protection Time Delay function ensures test accuracy by preventing the inrush current generated by the DUT’s power supply from triggering the protection mechanism.
When conducting a series of tests, test accuracy is often affected by voltage drops in the power transmission caused by cables, connectors, and distance. To mitigate this, the instrument is equipped with a Remote Sense function that can automatically adjust the output to harmonize the difference between the actual test voltage and the set voltage.

The Chroma 27015 Flat Panel Display Tester is equipped with an embedded multimedia card (eMMC) that can store anywhere from 341 to 1365 BMP image files, depending on the image resolution, with a maximum resolution of 8K. In addition to using the built-in images, users can also add their own test images to meet a variety of testing needs.
*Depending on module resolution
The FPD Master software supports different configurations for different signal modules, including eDP, MIPI, and LVDS. When you select the module of your choice, the corresponding parameters are displayed in real-time. Each module can store up to 100 configurations.

Chroma provides a complete (full line / single station) modular solution for automated LCD testing. The 27015’s small form factor makes it suitable for space-conscious production line designs. Through expert technical consultation, continuous software development and comprehensive technical support, we can help you find the production and R&D test applications that best suit your needs.

The 27015 Flat Panel Display Tester provides comprehensive measurement capabilities for automotive display applications. Controlled through GO/NOGO software, the tester can be integrated with the 71241 High-Precision Universal Measurement Probe and the 71242 Small-Size Measurement Probe to support Auto Flicker adjustment, test image and data storage, and report generation. With optimized settings, the complete Auto Flicker adjustment test process can be completed in less than 5 seconds, achieving an FMA of below 3%. This provides users with a flexible and complete optical inspection solution for automotive displays.
*Requires adjustment data (PMIC) and panel setting
To maintain optimal operating temperature while reducing energy consumption, the Chroma 27015 is equipped with an intelligent fan system that monitors internal temperature changes. Using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), the system automatically adjusts fan speed to reduce workplace noise and extend service life.

For quick and convenient installation of the 27015 with signal modules, the main unit uses a floating connector and a two-stage guide rail design. The first stage features a tapered latch structure for easier alignment, while the second stage incorporates a side guide mechanism at the module installation area. Together, these features allow users to smoothly guide the signal module into the correct position along the rail.
In automated automotive panel production, downtime or unexpected faults can affect line efficiency. The 27015 features IP SEL, which enables host identification and address assignment. Users can remotely manage 27015 units connected within the same network domain, with up to 16 units controlled simultaneously for output control, debugging, program updates, and related operations. This significantly reduces the time required for on-site troubleshooting and program analysis, helping improve overall production efficiency.

The display lights on the 27015 Flat Panel Display Tester offer users a quick and easy way to understand the tester's status and confirm the DUT's and testing status in real-time.

The FPD Master software comes with a Timing Wizard feature that allows users to set standard timing parameters or define their own horizontal and vertical timing parameters. The software can automatically calculate the pixel rate, set the color depth, and adjust the Hsync and Vsync polarity of the display to meet a wide range of testing needs.

During production, display panels can develop significant pixel defects as well as bright or dark spots brought on by contaminants like dust, scratches, and other impurities. The 27015 combines GO/NOGO software with the Cursor Position function, which allows you to pinpoint the exact physical coordinates of single pixels/dots and RGB color vector coordinates on the DUT's own display, and record the corresponding data for laser repair machine positioning and restoration.
The FPD Master software comes equipped with 9 types of test patterns, including Bitmap, Color Bar, Gray Scale, Outer Frame, CABC, Character, Horizontal Stripe, Check Board, and Multi Pixel. You can combine and edit the presentation and color of each test pattern to create a wide variety of images for testing.

The Chroma 27015 main unit has pre-installed 4K and Full-HD files for resolution, RGB, contrast correction, algorithm verification, True Color change, panel convergence, and other output tests, providing a wide range of test charts.

The 27015 FPD Tester can be supplemented with the 67394 Multi-Channel Power Supply Module to meet various voltage requirements for small to medium size panels. The multiple outputs can be combined with signal and timing control, and the timing can be edited in 1ms increments to suit a variety of production test applications.(Optional)
